How exclude A/V form scanning files, folder, extension,etc

 What is an exclusion in Windows Defender and any anti-viruses software?

Security Windows 11 Windows 10. If you trust a file, file type, folder, or a process that Windows Security has detected as malicious, you can stop Windows Security from alerting you or blocking the program by adding the file to the exclusions list.

By using this feature you can stop antivirus from scanning and deleting the files if trust the provider. This function is used for a special purpose only to keep malicious files on your computer. This is the best way to keep malicious software on PC if you trust software. Sometimes this could be dangerous also because it may access your files directly and steal your data from your PC. 

But sometimes we have done various work which may look malicious for antivirus and interfere our work, so for this, we have to disable the defender. By disabling the defender your PC could be more vulnerable, so there is the best way to complete the task without disabling the defender. This feature is known as Exclusion. This means the defender won't scan and delete your files/folder etc which are under the exclusion folder.

Let us see how we can use this function in defender

Launch the Defender 

Goto setting 

scroll down until you see the add an exclusion option

Click it and browse the folder/files etc which you want not to be scanned and deleted.
